Bike riding

Alongside chic shopping and Rhine hospitality, Düsseldorf has a lot to offer sport and nature fans. Take a ride with the bike on a discovery tour through the city or commence a relaxing tour in the environs.

Bike riding in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area

Those who would like to experience the city by bike should follow the Erlebnisweg Rheinschiene (Rhine rail adventure track). Europe's most important river flows 42 km through the provincial capital Düsseldorf. Those who want can follow the track longer: Allow yourself to be captivated by the exciting adverse landscape between Bonn and Duisburg. Time and again secluded grove forests, sandbanks and green dikes surprise you alongside exciting large cities. The historically inclined visitor should take a visit to the Barbarossapfalz in Kaiserswerth. The castle ruins provide a delightful view down into the Rhine valley.
