Region & Events

Historic Potsdam lies southwest of Berlin in the midst of idyllic forests and lakes. Since the Enlightenment, and particularly since Frederick the Great and Voltaire, Potsdam has been a synonym for German intellect and culture. Nowhere in the world does one encounter such an impressive combination of architecture and nature: the palaces and cultural surroundings form, in their entirety, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
To comprehend the universal importance of this heritage visit not only Sanssouci, but also the Marble Palace, Orangery, Cecilienhof and much more – your visit will leave a lasting impression.
