Vacation among Baltic coastal lagoons: Zingst
Forests, wetlands, abundant birdlife and a spa with well-maintained beaches and delightful attractions make Zingst a popular vacation destination.
Zingst, the eastern tip of the Fischland-Darß-Zingst Peninsula on the Baltic Sea, lies in the heart of the Western Pomeranian Lagoon Area National Park. This vacation resort boasts fine sandy beaches and untouched natural beauty. The entire region is criss-crossed with hiking and biking paths. Many day-trippers travel to Oster Forest to admire the gigantic redwoods or to the Pramort marshes to observe the rich birdlife in its natural habitat.
From the pleasure pier to the ocean floor
At the Zingst harbor, you can board pleasure boats for exciting cruises down the Baltic coast. One popular meeting place is the 270m-long pier, which hosts concerts and evening dances year-round. At the end of the pier is a submersible gondola that will take you down three meters to the ocean floor where shrimp and seahorses live. The pier is but a few minutes' walk from the comfortable Steigenberger Strandhotel.
